This research article looked into the theory that ethnic and racial minorities are more likely to experience complications during rehab of spinal injuries than their white counterparts. The article found that recovery from full motor spinal injuries was much higher among hispanics and non-hispanic whites than blacks. The article acknowledged that more research had to be done in order to understand the disparity in rehabilitation of injuries between race.
